Lower Valley Energy Project

Client challenge:

Lower Valley Energy sought a long-term solution to deliver natural gas to the town of Jackson, Wyoming.

Coffey solution:

Coffey Engineering & Surveying rose to the challenge of this complex project and impressed the client with our resourcefulness and responsiveness. Our team:

  • Worked with existing designs to survey a 50-mile route for the pressurized natural gas pipeline

  • Provided innovative solutions to the unique challenges of the land—the pipeline crosses through the rugged Hoback Canyon, private land and also public highways

  • Eliminated 500 or more 240-mile/round-trip tanker deliveries between Exxon’s Shute Creek facility south of La Barge and the town of Jackson

Coffey came in on very short notice to provide survey support for our 50-mile transmission pipeline project. With their help, we started on time and successfully re-routed the pipeline several times. Coffey kept in daily contact with inspectors, contractors and the X-ray team. The Coffey surveyors attended early morning contractor coordination meetings and helped make strategic decisions throughout the project. Coffey was a crucial partner in the Hoback Pipeline project, and we wouldn’t hesitate to work with them again in the future.
