Land Projects
The historical Walnut street in Rawlins, Wyoming is close to finalizing the renovations that started in July of 2021. A large, publicly-funded project with a tight schedule, Walnut Street requires a Construction Engineering Manager to facilitate communication between contractors and city, mitigate plan discrepancies in the field and provide impartial third-party verification.
In August 2021, Coffey was awarded by Hall-Irwin Corporation (HIC) the surveying for Phases 2 and 3 of the Hidden Creek residential development in Frederick, Colorado. There are many different types of land surveying; however, Coffey will perform construction staking for HIC.
Coffey performed all the materials testing for Premier Bone & Joint Center’s (PB&J) new surgical and rehabilitation facility. Services included were soil compaction, concrete testing, steel reinforcement inspection and critical bolted and welded connections.
A Fort Collins, Colorado homeowner approached Coffey because they wanted to transform their open carport into a closed garage. The house is located in the West Vine Basin 100-year floodway, therefore a floodplain analysis was required by the city.
The University of Wyoming Alumni Association needed an engineering and surveying partner to help bring their 65,000 sq. ft. dream building to life on a 2.5-acre redeveloped lot. That’s where Coffey stepped in.
Coffey worked closely with Plan One Architects, general contractor and team to bring the Tungsten Heavy Powder & Parts building to life in a way that met the standards of the client, the City of Laramie, and more.
Energy Projects
Foote Creek Wind Farm—Wyoming’s very first wind farm—was in a tight spot. They needed an ALTA survey of 650 acres in less than 30 days and they needed it done well.
Coffey surveyed a 50-mile route for the pressurized natural gas pipeline. As part of the project, we provided innovative solutions to the unique challenges of the land—the pipeline crosses through the rugged Hoback Canyon, private land and also public highways.
