Position Summary
This position is responsible for engineering-related tasks as assigned. Must be capable of performing design functions, CAD drafting, field work and other duties as assigned. Must meet schedules, and be capable of participating in other projects and tasks as assigned by managers and senior level engineers.
Duties and Responsibilities
Will assign work to staff to obtain maximum utilization of assigned personnel.Assists in client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.

Assists in the development of probable construction cost estimates for his/her projects.
Attends client meetings.
Assists in the analysis and preparation of reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests, and aerial photographs on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical and geologic data to plan and design project.
Prepares design computations and quantity estimates.
Assists in the preparation or modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, permits and designs for project.
Instructs draftspersons/technicians to reduce designs to working drawings.
Reviews construction site to monitor progress and other duties per the contract documents.
Serves as onsite project representative.
Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
Performs drafting as needed.
Performs on-site materials testing and analyzes laboratory data.
Cross trained in all of the aspects of Coffey services and the related duties/procedures.

Experience and Education
BS or MS in Civil Engineering from a four year college or university
Successfully passed the NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering Exam
Design experience with Civil 3D and associated hydrology and hydraulic analysis programs. Experience with UDSWMM or HEC-2 desired
Ability to acquire Professional Engineer status in the State of Wyoming/Colorado or ability to obtain one within at least four years.
Valid Driver’s License
